DEFY Epoxy Fortified Professional Deck Stain

DEFY Epoxy Fortified wood stain comes in 5 semi-transparent deck stain colors – Natural Pine, CedarTone, Light Walnut, Redwood and Driftwood Gray. DEFY Epoxy Fortified wood stain is a high performance semi-transparent penetrating finish that helps prevent the destructive effects of water, fungi, and UV radiation on exterior wood. With its unique epoxy fortified synthetic resin, this product is able to penetrate wood pores to block out the damaging effects of weather while allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. DEFY Epoxy Fortified wood stain is ideally suited for staining pressure treated wood and can be used on interior or exterior wood  surfaces including: wood siding, log homes, decks, fences, shake shingles, outdoor wood furniture, pressure treated lumber, and all other naturally porous wood surfaces. Easy Maintenance

This professional deck stain will give you years of protection for your deck and is easy to maintain. Periodically, as the surface begins to get dirty or dull, simply wash it down with a mild detergent and water. As the weather begins to wear away at the surface and the color begins to fade, a maintenance coat will need to be applied. To check the surface to see if it is ready for a maintenance coat, simply sprinkle a little water on it. If the water is immediately absorbed into the wood, then it is ready to be recoated.

The first step in the maintenance process is to apply a coat of Wood Brightener. This will lighten any minor graying and clean the surface. Allow the surface to dry 24 hours followed by a single coat application of DEFY Epoxy Fortified Wood Stain as directed on the label. A maintenance coat will generally result in a slightly darker color than the original application.

All of the DEFY professional deck stain colors contain powerful sunscreens to block damaging UV rays. Ultra violet rays cause wood to turn gray and become susceptible to water penetration and decay. Epoxy Fortified wood stain contains synthetic resins that do not attract mildew and algae like other natural resin (oil-based) stains do. Additionally, this professional deck stain is a water repellent that reduces water penetration up to 90%.
