MasonrySaver® No-Rinse Concrete Etch is a hydrofluoric acid generator for etching concrete, stone, tile porcelain or glass in preparation for sealing. A thin film will etch any silica containing surface in 15 seconds with no rinsing necessary. After preparation with MasonrySaver No-Rinse Concrete Etch, and once the surface has dried, the surface can be stained or a sealer such as MasonrySaver Stamped Concrete Sealer can be applied.

ADVANTAGES

  • Etches all silica containing surfaces, such as concrete, stone, tile, porcelain and glass
  • Does not required neutralizing or rinsing
  • Saves time - sealers can be applied within hours of etching.
  • Improved adhesion over difficult to bond to surfaces.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SURFACE PREPARATION:
IMPORTANT NOTES: Do not use No-Rinse Concrete Etch on limestone as the product will dissolve the limestone. Always test in an inconspicuous area to ensure desired results. Protect foliage and all applicable surrounding areas including wood, aluminum, glass, asphalt, vinyl siding, and painted surfaces. No-Rinse Concrete Etch is an adhesion promoter, not a cleaner.

APPLICATION

When etching concrete surfaces, DO NOT dilute No-Rinse Concrete Etch. For other less porous surfaces, such as porcelain, glass or tile, dilute product 4:1 with water.
Caution: When diluting product with water slowly add the product to the water while stirring. Never add water to the product. Apply only with a tight nap roller or a pad painter. DO NOT SPRAY OR BREATHE THE FUMES. Allow sufficient time for No-Rinse Concrete Etch to fully dry prior to applying a sealer. Use only in well-ventilated areas.

Drying Time: 15 – 30 minutes, depending upon conditions.

Clean Up: Clean equipment with soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.

Coverage: 200-400 square feet per gallon on concrete. 800 - 1,000 square feet per gallon on smooth surfaces such as porcelain, glass and tile.

Note: Coverage rates will vary based on the porosity of the substrate.
